The design consideration for this apartment renovation was to accommodate all the modern amenities and a feeling of spaciousness into a small railroad apartment. The highly programmed corridor that connects and separates the public space (living room) from the private (bedroom) becomes and essential part of the scheme housing the kitchen, bathroom and storage within its deceptively simple millwork shell. In this manner, the corridor is activated to become a functional space with a transitory nature.
